Sugar the Playful Dachshund

Last April 2015, we met this cute dachshund named Chelsea and she effortlessly won our heart. Chelsea was supposed to be my brother’s dog but since they are having their first baby, we end up adopting her. Chelsea was re-named to Sugar (which perfectly fits her “sugar Rush” energy). She was born with 3 brothers, namely Coco, Joey and Ram. They are puppies from my College professor and good friend Mam Nuy.

Sugar is the first pup that I’ll be shared parenting with my partner and it was fun to think that she’s our child. Her everyday antics are just precious. We remember her to be shy at first but ended up being extra playful. She already destroyed all her toys which is normal for puppies. Bubbles and Cooper was a little awkward with her at first. Sugar is the first dog that gets to share their home with and jealousy stepped in.  But they ended up accepting her in their own little pack though Bubbles didn’t really like her that much. Cooper on the other hand is just the best big brother ever!

We just celebrated Sugar’s birthday last weekend and truly she has been a great addition to our small family. A kid full of love, positivity and just genuinely happy. Her hobby is to jump high and play with her chew toys. She has this special trick where she pretends she’s swimming when you hold her high. Sugar loves her mommy Rox so much and her favorite part of the day is where she can spend time with her.

Having Sugar is just pure joy and we are looking forward to share more of her adventure with Bubbles and Cooper. Truly, they are the best Dachshund pack ever (I’m a bias).

Bubbles Birthday Celebration

As we grow older we realized that everyday is a blessing. This is how I see my furbaby's birthday, another year added to their lives always calls for a celebration. Bubbles celebrated her birthday last June 13, 2014 together with her favorite humans and forever furry buddy Cooper. I bought dog treats for them and cooked food for the humans.

I was always branded half crazy in our family because of this kind of stuff and I actually never mind their opinion. A birthday should always be celebrated even through small gatherings. A dogs life is short so it must be savored.

Here are some photos from our little celebration where we ate, chat and enjoyed a bright sunny day.

Bubbles & Cooper 2013 Christmas

Christmas is extra special this year because I haven't got to celebrate it with them last 2012. So I gave them the best gift I can get for them and that's a fund day out in the park. Dogs are selflessly inlove with their family and just want a great quality time with them.

Cooper is not used to going out due to my busy schedule when I got him 4 years ago. I was a fresh graduate from college and never had the quality time to take them out. That's why now the he's turning 4 years old, it's really hard for me to bring him out of the house. Copper is super strong and runs off easily. Lost him twice already so I'm not taking any risk this time. Bought him a strong vest for big dogs so he can't pull it off and for safety I have to dog chains so if ever the other one breaks down. One in his vest and the other in his neck collar.

Bubbles was the easy part since she grew up going out on trips since in her puppy days. She loves to go out and gets excited when she hears the bell in her bag rings. Hare are the photos from our day out in the sun and some other Christmas photos that we took. I just love to share my life with this two fur babies and I love them with all my heart.

Have a fun New Years celebration to everyone! From me and my 4 legged kids ^_^
