First and Last Christmas Apart

I have a heart of a kid and Christmas has been my favorite time of the year. The gift giving, yummy food, fun reunion and special moments with love ones. Since 2008 I have celebrate my Christmas with my Doxie and when everyone left they are the ones who shared this wonderful season with me. The last five years, I never found a moment to be sad. Today is the first time we'll spend it apart and it breaks my heart. My Baby Cooper and Bubbles, hope you enjoy your Noche buena with your Granny tonight. I promise the both of you that this will be the first and last time we'll spend it apart. You guys are my kids and the holidays are specially reserve for you. Much love from your mom and sending hugs from the land down under. Twenty five days to go and I'll be able to hug the both of you again. Merry Christmas and stay safe.

Longest Time Away

It's been two weeks and 2 days now since I left for Australia. the longest time I had to be away from my two  furbabies. I did made this life changing decision for me and now paying price for it. I came here in Australia for two reason: help out with the baby and try to see if there's a career for me here. Apparently both have been a difficult path for me since I was left with limited options. Now I know that finding a job for me here is not so difficult but the problem is that I'm not a citizen, resident or even a student here. Then the next problem is that I don't really have time to look for a job because my daily routine has been; baby, sleep, eat, few hours internet and sleep. I have to admit the situation is driving me crazy and my fur babies are not here for my comfort. I usually come home stress and see Bubbles and Cooper then I'll be okay. Now all I have is a big teddy to tuck in and cry with every night.

Now I'm counting down the days where I can get back home. 10 weeks and 5 days to go and everything will be okay again. Will start all over with my career but atleast I have my babies with me. Also I can go with my own rules and go on with my own life. Looking forward to see my furbabies and make up for the Christmas season we missed...

Playdate with Journey

Today is a fun day for Bubbles and Cooper because it's their play date with Journey. He is a 3 months Shitzu owned by a good friend of mine. Journey is staying for a sleepover since I really want my two fur babies to have a new puppy friend. Check out this pictures I took earlier, now they are all sleeping.

19 days from now and it's time for me to go abroad. I'll be gone for 3 months and that's the longest time I'll be apart from my baby furs. I love them so much that's why I decided to make them my Facebook banner.

Many can't understand why I love my babies so much and most of them think I'm going nuts. But I do love them with all of my heart and I'm proud to shout it to the world. People don't need to understand me, they just need to respect that I have a heart capable to love other living things besides humans.

Cooper Loves Soccer

It's Sunday here and my day started with kisses from my two lovely doxies. They love the morning sun and both has their own "habits". While Bubbles is busy outside chasing anything he sees that flies, Cooper is busy looking for his mini soccer ball. When he find his ball, his goal is to look for a human buddy to play with him. Most of the time I'm his playmate since he is a mama's boy! ^_^ So here's the photo I took earlier before and after we played mini soccer. Always a happy Sunday in our home with my two fur babies.

Bubbles Morning Sun

Every morning Bubbles just can't get enough of the sun. She loves it  whenever I bring her down from my bedroom after a good night sleep and put her down in the garage. Bubbles will run like a little puppy and choose her spot and then lay down. I can only imagine if we were on the beach, probably she'll have her tan. ^_^ A very charming little girl posing for the camera while laying under the morning sun.

It's always great to know the basics but at the end of the day spending quality time with your sweet pups is the best way to learn more about their characters. Also good and bad behavior comes with the way you raised them all through out the years. So give them love and teach them good things. They will be at their very best for you and your family.

Cooper the Sweet Doxie

Cooper is my little boy and he is filled with too much love. He is a burst of sunshine when ever I saw his cute and loving face. It was a good life with Bubbles but it got even better when Cooper came along.

He came along with a lot of energy and a very big belly. ^_^ I can still remember the day me and Bubbles fetch him it was a very funny day. Some puppies feels scared or quiet for the first time of meeting but this little boy is different. Cooper jumped around the car and finally stopped when I let him stay in the steering wheel.

It was not an easy thing for Bubbles to accept Cooper in the family. She was the baby in our home for 2 years and suddenly I brought in Cooper to keep her company when I'm at work. Bubbles was very hesitant about Cooper at first well until now she loves to bully him. They have a very sweet and funny relationship through out the years. 

Bubbles never shows it always but we know that she loves Cooper so much too. Regardless off his extreme energy and funny accidents. Cooper grew up with the biggest heart and he looks at us with so much love. 

He is my love and everyday with him is filled with love and laughter. I will always feel blessed  having Cooper and Bubbles in my life.  

Bubbles at the Doggie Day Care

Bubbles is a very lovely doxie and she loves to go out. I remember when she was still a puppy, her mom (my sister) loves to take her in the mall for a stroll. But since she migrated to Australia, Bubbles was left to my care. I love this little girl since she is the princess of our family. 

Now that I have more free time, taking this little girl out for grooming is fun. I saw this website that offers dog's day care that is located in the mall. So I went their with my little princess so she can check in to the doggie day care. Check out the picture taken that day... Fun bonding day ^_^

Dental Care for the Two Furry Babies

Normal day here in our home when I noticed Bubbles teeth turning yellow. I am actually guilty of this because of they lack on dental care. It was actually 3 years ago when I stopped brushing her teeth and Cooper never experienced his teeth being cleaned. So now it is my goal to make this a daily habit for them because cavities are just around the corner. I was browsing pictures in the internet about dog teeth cavities and it looks really bad.

So what do you need for your dog's dental kit?

1) Dual Head Toothbrush : cost- Php 35 - Php 50

2) Toothpaste for Dogs : cost- Php 290- Php 500 (depends on the brand)

3) Breath Spray : cost- Php 390  (helps control plaques build up that leads to healthier teeth.)

So let's keep our fur babies teeth clean and healthy. Remember that they are our responsibilities and it's a blessing to have them in our lives. People may think that we are doing too much for our babies but in reality they deserve all of it. As my good friend Joshua from Twitter says "There's no such thing as spoiled dogs, they are just loved." If people thinks your a nutcase just because you have the capacity to love too much then I pity them for not experiencing this type of love. My family and friends already gave me this "your crazy" kind of look and I really don't care. I love Cooper and Bubbles and promise to protect and care for them the best way I know how.

New Goodies for the Two Dachshund

The best things in life are free! That's what I've always feel whenever a package from my sister comes from the land down under (Australia). I love it whenever people send gifts for my two furry babes, guess this is the feeling of any fur parents out there. Today, the box is filled with Goodies for Bubbles and Cooper. You can tell they are excited for their new toys, treats, cages and clothes.

 

Bubbles and Cooper now has a new set of dog treats to look forward everyday. And Bubbles super loves her new soft blue house that she always stays in all day. This are two happy Dachshund babies. ^_^

Lazy Rainy Day

This is the month where storms here in my country just come and go. Last week, the Philippines suffered a heavy fall of rain that causes the busy streets of the metro flooded. We didn't actually have a storm then but rather just a "Habagat" according to PAGASA.

We were one of the lucky and thankful family who didn't experienced flood in our home. I wish all the Filipino people are also safe and sound. My prayers and wishes foes for the flood victims. So for almost a week, my mom stayed home. Also the two lovely dachshund in our family seems to love they cold weather and just sleep all day.

My Name is Bubbles

Bubbles a 7kg miniature dachshund that field with love. Born last June 16, 2009 with choco and golden brown fur. She may look little but her spirit is filled with love for her forever family. She came in to our lives before my family completely fell apart. Personally it never crossed my mind to adopt a dog but I can never say no when she arrived.  I can still remember the first time we saw each other. Bubbles was so little and looks confused outside my window. It was love at first sight for me and as time passes by my love for her grow deeper.  Me and my sister love this little girl so much... I think she came in our life unexpected but the time we needed her the most.

Bubbles always had a innocent look in her eyes and very pure soul. You can tell that she love each member of the family so much and she never goes to sleep until we are complete. A precious dog she really is and very smart. We do our best to protect and take good care of her. I remember being excited to go home for the first time after days of staying in my aunts place due to my schooling. Home was never our comfort place but everything changed because of Bubbles. 

She is a playful puppy and her energy never fails to lights up the room. With her toys and sweetness she'll surely make your day happy. 

But life is about to change for her and it took her happy energy away. She love's my sister more than anything and her first heart break was when my mom and sister moved out. I came home only to find that Bubbles is all I got left and viseversa. The worse came where my sister officially said goodby to her since she'll be going abroad. I saw how Bubbles was badly hurt and slowly we lost our family. Telling this story never failed to make me cry because then I know we only have each other. I promised her then that we'll stay together always.

Her heart was broken over and over that time and I feel it too. I wanted to protect her and make her happy again. It was not easy then because I just graduated from College and need to go to work. My heart breaks whenever I see her not eating and just looking out the window. 

That's when I decided to add a new member to our small family...

Just when I thought that Bubbles is the last dog I'll love this much, Cooper proved me wrong.

Cooper made Bubbles a little happier and she bully him a lot. But I know deep inside, Bubbles found a companion in Cooper.
